In another life, when I was younger and had better knees I took up running, and (not with my knees) knitting.

I had a life on the internet as Beanz52 (acknowledging my maiden name and date of birth), as time has gone on the running stopped and the knitting moved to Ravelry, though I haven’t been there much recently either.

My blog posting became very intermittent - partly, I think, because my working day was filled with writing and editing and I had little headspace for putting words together. In retirement I have rediscovered sewing, and whilst I am sharing projects on Instagram, I also want to say more about them than is sensible there, so here I am with a new blogspace and a new name that reflects my love of sewing and knitting - though there may also be posts about baking, the allotment, enjoying life in Yorkshire and journeys with our campervan, Ruby.
